SHAME ON THE WORLD COURT
The ICJ recently ruled that Serbia is not guilty of genocide. What a crock! Why does history repeat itself? BECAUSE WE NEVER LEARN! How many more massacres must we endure before someone has the courage to say enough? How can a nation that obviously supported the slaughter of thousands be told that they are not responsible for their own actions?
And what will happen in the Sudan? Will they get off the hook too? Several members in the government have been indicted but will the government be held responsible for their obvious atrocities in Dafur? What message are we giving the new generation? Communication among peoples has grown exponentially. Are we telling the world's youth that it is okay to commit genocide? What message our we sending to the new generation? What legacy are we leaving for our children and grandchildren?
If the veangeful god of organized religion existed, why does it allow this ignorance to continue? Sorry folks, no Deus ex machina here! Humanitry must solve its own problems and with its own free will awaken to the divine within. The Universe listens to the extent that WE listen. To quote Pink Flloyd, "just nod if you can hear me" or have you all just become "comfortably numb?"
